Avenue des Champs Elysees

The city’s best-known street

5e. The best known street in Paris forms a tree-lined triumphal way between the Arc de Triomphe and place de la Concorde. A natural venue for the Bastille Day parades, the avenue has been invaded by an unsightly collection of fast food restaurants, cinemas and drugstores. Still, the cafes, though expensive, are perfect for people watching.
