Ribbon-like waterfalls are a feature of Yosemite National Park, though they only gush at full power during spring-time when fuelled by the melting snows of the Sierra peaks – by late summer, many are nothing more than a pathetic trickle. One of the prettiest and easiest to reach of Yosemite’s falls is Bridalveil Falls, cascading from 600 feet and often swayed from side to side by the wind, creating a swirling spray around its base.
