Cathedral City
Palm Springs satellite
On Hwy-111, 8 miles South East of Palm Springs. The least up-market of the towns grouped close to Palm Springs in the Coachella Valley, Cathedral City is uninteresting in itself but when you tire of the glamor (and the sometimes inflated prices) of its more famous neighbour, the town is a likely stop for an inexpensive bite to eat. It does however have a number of golf courses, and is a nice stop for anyone weary of travelling who likes a swing: Date Palm Country Club, Cimarron Gold Resort, and the Doral Desert Princess Resort to name a few. However probably the reason most people will stop here is to pilgrimage to Frank Sinatra’s grave, which is located in the Desert Memorial Park.
