Chateau de Rochepot

Mainly 15thC castle

A pretty drive through the Côte de Beaune vineyards on the D973 will bring you to Château de Rochepot (15 km SW of Beaune). Built on 12thC foundations, the mainly 15thC castle rises out of the woods above the village with a flourish of pepperpot turrets and jaunty tiled roofs. Entrance is via the drawbridge, and there are tours of the guard room, furnished apartments, and chapel www.chateau-de-la-rochepot.com.
