A resort on the slopes of Monte Viso (3,841 m). A road, short but with a serious gradient, leads to Piano del Rei, the nearest village to the source of the Po. High above is the Col de la Traversette through which Ludovico II, 15thC local potentate, dug one of the earliest Alpine tunnels.
