Diano Marina
See the world famous spagetti museum
Distinguished from its neighbours by its package-tour atmosphere. There are two fine old castles: Diano Castello, actually a medieval citadel-village, 3 km inland; and Cervo, 5 km east along the coast. At Pontedassio, 9 km inland, was the world-famous Spaghetti Museum, now to be replaced by the National Museum of Pasta Foods. The 700-year history and mythology of Italy’s staple diet is nicely displayed and explained.
