Dorrigo National Park

Exceptional national park

North West of Bellingen. Follow the road from Bellingen, inland up to Dorrigo, where this national park may be comparatively small but its exceptional qualities have placed it on the World Heritage List. Here on the plateau you’re more than 300 m above sea level. Apart from the rainforest, the park is also famous for orchids and waterfalls. There are several fine trails through the forest, the best of which is the 6 km Cedar Falls Walk which takes you to a superb waterfall.

If you fancy staying up here for a longer spell, head to the small town of Dorrigo, which has a motel and a useful information centre for the park and surrounding region. The road north from Dorrigo takes you past the spectacular Dangar Falls.
