Sart Audley End Station, only 1 hour from London Liverpool Street. To get to the starting point, head north on Robinsons Bungalows towards Station Road, turn right, then take the first left on to London Road. Turn right at Walden Road and continue on to Wenden Road to Saffron Walden.

FINCHINGFIELD GREEN A fine green, with timber-framed Georgian and medieval cottages. The lane through Debden Green to Thaxted is delightful.
