www.joigny-tourisme.com. A small town with leafy promenades and welcoming quayside cafés on the River Yonne. Pleasant as a pit stop, or for a peaceful walk. There are a few attractive 15th-16thC buildings in the town centre, and a brace of old churches, Saint-Jean and Saint-Thibault.
