Kenwood
Wineries and hot springs
A cluster of wineries provides the bulk of the visitor interest in Kenwood. If you only have time to call on one, make it Chateau St. Jean, 8555 Sonoma Highway (http://www.chateaustjean.com/age-gate/), famed for its beautifully landscaped grounds as much as for its white wines. Among the village’s other wineries, Kenwood Vineyards (https://kenwoodvineyards.com), 9592 Sonoma Highway, was founded in 1906 by two Italian brothers who sold their produce door to door.
The only alternative to sampling the produce of Kenwood’s wineries is Morton’s Hot Springs (http://mortonswarmsprings.com), a recreational complex with picnic facilities grown up around three swimming-pools fed by natural warm springs – a likely place for a day spent doing very little.
