In the shadow of Haut-Koenigsbourg, the village of Kintzheim, 8 km east on the D159, has transformed its ruined castle into an eagle’s nest. The Volerie des Aigles offers aerial acrobatics by eagles, falcons and vultures. The neighbouring monkey park, Montagne des Singes, is another popular family outing; also the Pare des Cigognes et Loisirs which combines stork breeding and tiny fallow deer with various children’s rides and shows.
