Melbourne suburbs

St Kilda, Carlton, Richmond, Fitzroy

The pleasant seaside suburb of St Kilda is just 3 km from the city centre. A Sunday morning stroll along the Esplanade, where they have art shows, is a Melbourne institution.

Other outlying districts of interest include Carlton, north-west of the city centre, which is Melbourne’s Little Italy, and the lively Greek district at Richmond, west of the city centre. Fitzroy, around Brunswick Street, is an arty district, with plenty of galleries. This lies just north-east of the city centre.
