Patrick’s Point State Park
Whale watching
The high bluffs of Patrick’s Point State Park provide excellent vantage points for watching the migration of California gray whales. Should the whales not be passing by, content yourself with watching the park’s resident sea lions and exploring its tide pools. Find time, too, for the park’s museum which goes some way to explaining why the Yurok Native American tribe chose this spot as their summer base and why they accorded it great spiritual importance.
