Pic du Midi de Bigorre
Breathtaking views
At the top of the Col du Tourmalet (2,114 m), the highest mountain pass in the Pyrenees, a 5-km toll road (Jun-Sep) winds on up to the desolate peak of the Pic (2,865 m). Crowned by an observatory established in 1882, and a television mast, the views are indeed breathtaking.
