Sleepy town with a fine cathedral
A small town with a fine old cathedral, Sées has a distinctly sleepy feel. A few little carved flowers and creatures have survived around the cathedral porch, which threatened to collapse and had to be buttressed in the 16thC. But the lofty Norman Gothic nave is in great shape, decorated by a pointed triforium and frieze. There is some notable 13thC stained glass in the transept.
