Snowy River National Park

Unspoiled scenery

300 km east of Melbourne. The remote national park here contains some of the finest unspoiled scenery in Victoria. There are a couple of large caves at Buchan, and north of there the road enters some superb wooded mountain wilderness. At McKillops Bridge you can swim in the river, and then take a rafting trip through the gorges, which have rushing water as well as quiet pools.
