Trevi

T-junction

All this place has in common with Rome’s most celebrated street spectacle, the Fontana di Trevi, is the derivation of the word. Trevi probably means ‘three ways’ – tre vie or a T-junction. The small pretty town perches precariously on a hill blanketed with olive woods to which the romantic poet Leopardi wrote an ode.
