Woolgoolga

Sikh community

27 km North of Coff’s Harbour on the Pacific Highway. This small fishing town and resort is known locally as ‘Woopi’, but it has one distinct feature which sets it apart from other resorts. Many of the local inhabitants are Sikhs – descendants of immigrants who arrived from India more than a century ago. The main place of interest is the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple.
