The commercial centre of Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Village has shops, several relatively inexpensive eating places, a post office and an info-packed visitor centre. You’ll also find the Indian Cultural Museum (http://www.museumofindianculture.org), which gives a modest account of Yosemite’s native inhabitants with exhibits and a reconstructed village – and sometimes with demonstrations of basket-making and ceremonial celebrations.
