Southern Ethiopia

This section lies south of a line drawn horizontally just north of Addis Ababa and includes (anticlockwise): The Southern Rift Valley Lakes; Konso and South Omo; the Bale Mountains; and Harar, far out to the east. These are generally agreed to be the best places to visit and are sometimes known as the southern circuit. Access to the southern circuit typically starts by a flight into Addis.
