Springbrook National Park
At 900m in the McPherson range
70 km south of Brisbane in the McPherson Range. The National Park is situated on a plateau 900 m up in the mountains, at the eastern end of the Scenic Rim. This area is volcanic, and filled with creeks, pools, waterfalls and caves amongst the rainforest. There are several trails through the extensive park, but you can reach some fine scenery by car – including Best of All Lookout, which has stunning views out over the mountains. Always check in advance to see if the trails and park are open as during adverse weather condition they are closed for safety reasons, www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/parks/springbrook/.
